The Free Gaza Awareness Project stemmed from the 2008 Operation Cast Lead invasion by the Israeli 'Defense' Forces.  Situated in a small town on the California coast I was unable to attend the large protests in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Portland.  In order to link the atrocities happening in Gaza and the ongoing unconditional monetary support that the United States gives Israel each year I wrote "Free Gaza" on all of my money and on the back of each bill was written a different fact about the Operation.  The money was spent at grocery stores, coffee shops and other neighborhood establishments during a one month period.  (2009)
