Comedic, angry and heart wrenching messages began flooding the internet, providing a handheld mirror of collective anxiety. On July 23rd, Damon Banks wrote, "#IfIDieInPoliceCustody burn it all. Let me be a spark. Let you be a phoenix. Embers and ashes everywhere." Embers and Ashes brings the twitter feed to the gallery.
